Crear Studio featured artists Nancy D. Alcala as they weave together cycles of construction and destruction tracing self , natural processes, and self-realization through performance, land stewardship and care, through the use of ceramic sculpture including clay, California wildflower seeds, compost, upscaled metal wire, and water. [Un] Earthed hosted an opening reception on March 18, in conjunction with the Spring Solstice and was on display until May 6.

About the Artist:
Nancy D. Alcala is an interdisciplinary artivist and educator investing in accessible creative enrichment. opportunity, and mental health. They are self-taught visionary influenced by Santa Ana, where there were raised and hope to thrive. Nancy is a teaching artist with a B.A. in Sociology pursuing a teaching credential in History and Social Science. They design collaborative research-based projects that empower innovative self-expression, self-determination, and ecological sustainability within the community.
